Current situation of Mathematics education in the zone

Level of Mathematics education in galle zone is at the second place in southern province. It is fairly a good situation comparing to the provincial level and the island level. But still there are some remote schools, that show poor perfomance in mathematics. A carefuly prepared long term plan is needed to uplift the rate of passing students in G.C.E.(O/L) examinations. There are 17 national schools in the zone and those schools contribute a large portion for results.
